 Well, oddly enough this is the most popular page on my website.
I hope you enjoy the numerous examples of tattoos on the ribcage.
I always want to say thank you, again, to the men and ladies who kindly volunteered to have their photos shown on this page to assist you in deciding on placement, size, subject matter and detail for your ribcage tattoo. Whether you select, color, black and grey shaded, big or small - these examples should give you an idea of how the finished product would appear.  The ribcage is a sensitive area, but it is a good place to hid a tattoo and still have a highly attractive design. 
It is a popular area for text and scripture tattoos also.
The beautiful characters of any language make visual graphic images
as well as have a specific meaning.

A very special Latin phrase for a ribcage tattoo.  A good puzzle for my audience to figure out the translation.
 My client was ready and remained very still.  It was a very important tattoo for her.

and tattooed in a Southern Cross, seeing how she was from New Zealand and all.

 I forgot the close up shot for you to see the details, but the position shot gives you the sense of size. 
However the face, finger, hands, feet cannot be seen too well in this shot.

     
A bird native to the Northwest is the "Stellar Jay". 
Here is an example of one and the tattooed shadow to show dimension and flight. 
This was all done in a single sitting on a perfect client - who enjoyed every second of the session.

This went as good as a session gets. My client liked the experience.
We zoomed away.  When it comes to rib cage tattoos - she felt no pain - made my job easier.
The client loves getting tattooed and she got a lot of ink for a "First" tattoo.

Without a doubt the bravest of my first timers. 
She sat for this in one sitting. 
I think it is striking both in the use of "script" and the "clean" strong image
of "Serenity" on the human body.

Using a delicate cursive capital letter and
important dates is a tough reminder of a dear friend's departure.

This young lady came here with her friend to get her first tattoo, and she got it on the ribs.
This has become the new location on the body for both beauty
and ease to keep covered for work. 
Another example of how body art adds another dimension to the human form.

Tattoo is on a young man's rib cage.
On the top is the first session,  just line work and shadows.
On the bottom is the finished tattoo.
It needs to heal so whites can show up.
This is very personal for the collector, since his father's drawing
was used for the tattoo design.

My man worked a 12 hour shift from 3:00p.m.to 3:00 a.m.
Then he came by at 9:00 for some Latin text, that sticks to your ribs!
